As soon as I heard the beat drop on the first track of Common’s new album Black America Again, I knew I was in for a good listen. Knowing that Bilal was featured on this track had me extra elated and ears glued to the speakers. Other appearances on the album include Stevie Wonder on the album titled track “Black America Again” as well as PJ, Marsha Ambrosius “Love Star,” Syd, Elena “Red Wine,” BJ The Chicago Kid “The Day Women Took Over,” John Legend “Rain,” Tasha Cobbs “Little Chicago Boy” and that’s just taste of what’s on this 15-track project.

The album is just what we need right now in these times, where our people need to come together and turn this world around for the better. Common describes this new album as social, political and conscious “God Music.”
